Ioannis Faropoulos, BSc, ΜSc

Ioannis Faropoulos graduated his BSc in Pharmacy from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1993 and his MSc Health Policy and Economics, from Columbia University of New York in 1995. Today he has over 25 years of experience in Healthcare Management, Administration and Leadership. He has held several key leading positions in hospitals across Greece, including the “Henry Dunnant” Athens Hospital, the “Leto” Maternity Hospital, the Kefalonia General Hospital and the “Asklepieion” General Hospital of Athens. He was Project Manager (coordination beneficiary) in several European funded Programs (total budget over 20 mi €), LIFE and H2020. He has been working as a Scientific Advisor to the Secretary General of Public Health in the Ministry of Health and a Healthcare Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Health since 2019. He joined CLEO as the Lead Project Manager for the Greek Infection Prevention Project – GRIPP-SNF.
