Eleni Kourkouni, BSc, MSc
Senior Biostatistician
Eleni Kourkouni studied Statistics (BSc) at Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), and specialized in Biostatistics and Epidemiology, completing her MSc at the University of Hasselt in Belgium.
She has strong experience in designing epidemiological studies (cohort studies, case-control studies etc.) and clinical trials as well as analyzing data of such studies. Eleni’s areas of specialization include: study designing, sampling techniques, power and sample size calculation, data management, modeling, advanced modeling, longitudinal data analysis, programming, systematic reviews, meta-analyzes, presentation of research findings. She is an excellent user of statistical packages such as STATA, R, SPSS and SAS.
She has also gained teaching experience through seminars offered by CLEO to healthcare professionals, as well as lectures at UOA and UNIWA (both established universities in Greece) in the field of Biostatistics. Her main concern is the dissemination of appropriate statistical techniques in order to improve research in the fields of public health, epidemiology and medicine.
