Grammatiki-Christina Tsopela is a pediatrician with a strong specialization in Public Health and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC). Her professional trajectory combines clinical medical practice with extensive research in the field of healthcare epidemiology and antimicrobial resistance. Her clinical training was completed at the First Department of Pediatrics of the University of Athens at "Agia Sofia Children's Hospital," and she also holds a Postgraduate Program in Pediatric Infectious Diseases (University of Athens).
Since August 2014, she has worked as a Research Associate and Infection Preventionist at the Center for CLEO, concurrently with her private practice as a Pediatrician.
Christina Tsopela's role at CLEO is pivotal and multifaceted. She is involved in Design and Implementation, where she designs and implements surveillance systems for Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAI) and interventional prevention bundles. Her work extends to Education, as she instructs healthcare personnel on infection control and prevention practices and surveillance.
