Areti Ilia
Areti Ilia is a pharmacist and Public Health researcher with a particular interest in clinical epidemiology, disease research, and the development of interventions that enhance the quality and safety of healthcare. Since 2025, she has been collaborating with CLEO, contributing to the support and coordination of clinical trials and the management of research procedures.
She has contributed to the design and implementation of educational initiatives for the rational use of antimicrobials and has participated in European awareness initiatives regarding antimicrobial resistance (AMR). In this context, she collaborated with the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) on public information campaigns concerning antimicrobial resistance and the responsible use of antibiotics.
Parallel to her professional work, she is active in volunteering within the health sector and patient support. She is a board member of the non-profit organization "Karkinaki," contributing to strategic planning and the development of actions that strengthen the psychosocial support of children and families affected by cancer.
Areti has participated as a speaker at scientific and educational events, both in Greece and abroad, covering topics related to Public Health, antimicrobial resistance, and patient empowerment, thereby contributing to the dissemination of scientific knowledge and the promotion of prevention.
